The Special Performing Arts Club currently works with over 15 mentally challenged adults that are high functional.  Meetings are held weekly at the Troy Civic Center where the members are  taught various songs, both modern and folk dances and work with a voice therapist.

Throughout the year the members perform before an audience, including their  special annual fundraising performance event held in the Spring.  This group was always very dear to the founder of the Italian Study Group of  Troy, Luella Baron, and continues to be a very important part of their  activities.  S.P.A.C., a support group of the Italian Study Group of Troy, is  open to the community at large.

This year, a donation of $2.00 per week in required to participate in   S.P.A.C.  For more information contact the S.P.A.C. coordinator, Denise Silverio at 248-703-7303 .
